Meet: Fleays Wildlife Park car park at the Tallebudgera Creek end of Loman Lane.
Bring: $2 donation towards meetup costs (or for $10 forget the gold coins for all events until March 2027!!), sturdy walking shoes, hat, light snack and a bottle of water (there are a couple of refill points along the way).
What to expect: This is an approx 9km walk on uneven paths. There are steep inclines and stairs both ways so you will need some walking and incline/stair fitness. We walk at a medium to fast pace, but won’t leave anyone behind.
We start on the boardwalk and paths following Tallebudgera Creek through the conservation parks. We cut through back streets then head up ‘heartbreak hill’ at Tabilban St to Burleigh Ridge Park. The suburbs quickly disappear into bushland over the ridge. We journey through Koala Park to access Burleigh Heads NP.
We will enjoy the top rainforest loop around to the lookout with a quick stop for the sweeping views and a drink or snack that you've brought with you.
We’ll head back down through Burleigh Heads NP and then return along Tallebudgera Creek and back through to Fleays.
We’ll go to the lovely Fleays Conservation Park Cafe at the end for coffee & post-walk chat :)

If you prefer to pay an annual amount of $10 (PayID or cash on the day), you can forget the gold coins and attend any Gold Coast Active & Social events until March 2017!(YOU DO NOT PAY MEETUP - click on the X on any pop up ads asking)

Please be mindfulful to update your attendance as ‘not going’ as soon as possible if you can no longer join us. This is so we can update bookings and not hold up the group waiting for ‘no shows’.
