Mt Field National Park
Three Falls Circuit is one of Tasmania’s 60 Great Short Walks. This 6km circuit takes in not only Russell Falls, but also some of the other natural features of this section of the park. Most do the circuit anticlockwise, starting with the short walk to Russell Falls, then climbing to the beautiful Horseshoe Falls. The track continues through the Tall Trees walk, taking in some magnificent specimens of swamp gums — the world's tallest flowering plant. Next stop on this walk is Lady Barron Falls—a pretty little cascading waterfall which is particularly scenic after rain.
Tarn Shelf is one of Australia's best day walks. Categories:
5-7 hour circuit, 12 km. Grade 3. The Tarn Shelf contains a picturesque series of small glacial lakes. This is a long circuit walk that takes in the Tarn Shelf, Lake Newdegate, Twilight Tarn and Lake Webster. The walk takes you across the Tarn Shelf, returning via the lower lakes.

Kunanyi / Mt Wellington is an awe-inspiring natural landmark that dominates the Hobart skyline, offering visitors unparalleled views of the city and its surrounding landscapes. The mountain, known for its dramatic rock formations and diverse walking tracks, is an adventurer's paradises.
Organ Pipes and Pinnacle is a challenging route contouring for 9 kms around the slopes of Kunanyi / Mount Wellington passing Sphinx Rock with its large sandstone lookout platform. Continuing on you will pass Rock, Lone and then Junction Cabins before climbing uphill towards The Chalet. On the left is Crocodile Rock, another aptly named sandstone feature. From The Chalet the track skirts the base of the spectacular Organ Pipes. A steady downhill gradient then brings you back to The Springs.

Medical emergency: Please carry some first aid with you on every walk. As a minimum it should be a good 100m strong crape bandage. In chemists from $10-12), elastoplasts, medical tape, plus anything you consider an essential. Accidents can a DO happen on our walks, don’t think it won’t be me and don’t expect others to be carrying your emergency supplies if you do have a mishap. A strong bandage to support a badly twisted/sprained ankle will get you home safely or a broken one back in less pain and agony. Remember we are responsible for our own self and that includes emergency procedures.
