Lauderdale by the Sea has an amazing reef.

The best part about it is that it is about 100 yards from shore so there is no big surface swim.

This dive is all in 15 to 20 feet of water so it is great for beginners

or people who need a bit of confidence building.

You can also swim out further to the drop-off if you'd like.

Parking is $1.50 / hr and you need quarters (bring $4 worth to be safe). You can also park a block away.

The flag rental is on the house if you need one.

The store opens at 8am on the weekends,

10 am on weekdays.
