This introductory archery class is designed for adults aged 60 and above to safely discover the fundamentals of archery in a supportive, social environment. The session focuses on proper form, gentle warm-up routines, and stretching techniques to support mobility and prevent injury. All equipment is provided, and no prior experience is required. Friendly instructors guide participants through every step, allowing you to progress at your own pace and enjoy the satisfaction of hitting the target.
Agenda:
- Welcome and introductions
- Brief overview of archery equipment and safety rules
- Gentle dynamic warm-up exercises (e.g., arm circles, torso twists, shoulder shrugs)
- Guided stretching focusing on upper body, neck, shoulders, back, and wrists
- Demonstration of basic archery form, proper stance, and how to handle the bow
- Hands-on supervised shooting practice with lightweight bows
- Individual feedback and coaching during practice
- Balloon target popping for fun
