Artichoke Festival

Artichokes are my favorite vegetable! I love them steamed, stuffed, marinated, fried, and any other way you can imagine. I've driven to Castroville just to stop by the Giant Artichoke for their fried artichokes. I even made a video of myself stuffing artichokes because a written recipe didn't full explain the process of stuffing them. So when I saw the Artichoke Festival come up, I had to organize a trip down to Monterey.

Please note that they are requiring clear purses so I'm not planning to bring much: just my keys, phone, and a payment method. I'll wear a sweater as Monterey does get a little chilly.

I plan to leave early because I expect traffic. It takes a little over a hour to get there without traffic. The event opens at noon.

There is wine tasting, too, at the event. I will drive so I will pass on that, but I can take 3 others! You can buy tickets online and there are packages for wine tasting and entry. General Admission is $20 or seniors 62+ $15.
