Time to Rally. Grazing Elk from South Valley

This new hike for Weekday Wanderers is an easy 4.8 miles with less than 500 ft of climb. The well-developed trails traverse grassland meadows with views of red rock outcrops and distant mountains. It is accessed via South Valley which has ample parking and restroom facilities.
Expect some sun with breezes and temps in the 40s. BRING: Weather-appropriate gear. Extra water. Emergency info and personal needs, snacks for the trail and /or optional after-hike picnic. All are welcome, including well behaved dogs on leash.
