This 4.2-mile trail climbs 400' up the open hillside of Lincoln Mountain and skirts through Gambel oaks, a scattering of pines, and rhyolite rocks. View Pikes Peak, Palmer Divide, and ranchlands of the Upper Cherry Creek Valley from the 7,394' top.
Expect ample sun, breezy, with a high near 70. Bring weather appropriate gear, extra water, personal safety needs, and snacks for the trail and/or after hike tailgate.
