View the sky through the telescope at Foothill College Observatory

Details

Join us for a fun and romantic great opportunity to look through the large telescope at Foothill Observatory.
This is a magical place that houses wonders of space and offers a first-hand exploration of the wonders of the universe!
We have a professional astronomer who will show us things like the rings around Saturn, Venus, the moon and stars in ways you have never seen it before, as well as star maps of the constellations. It will be a fun event but please remember that, while we will be in a building, the building is open to the sky, so dress warmly. Whatever you think is warm enough, bring one more layer-please. Please be on time so that we can all go in together and allow our eyes to adjust to the dark without having to start over again. Rain will cancel but clouds rarely do.
Please follow the directions and parking instructions in the photo section. You will understand why all these details are important when you get there. Memorize the picture of the sign below. It is parking lot #4 in a dark area of the campus for better viewing in the Observatory
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to give you enough time to find the parking lot and your eyes to adjust to the dark. You do not need to get a parking pass, contrary to what the directions created by Foothill say.
