Waterman Gap - Big Basin , 11 miles , 1400 ft elev. gain

We meet at intersection of 3 roads: Hwy 9, Hwy 236, and Old Mill rd. You need to enter Waterman gap in Google map ( ATTENTION! Waterman gap trail camp is about 500ft from required parking). Parking places there are very limited, so carpool is highly recommended.
Our hiking route is very simple: take Skyline to the Sea trail and reach east Ridge trail in Big Basin. Hike 1 mile by East Ridge tr to intersection with China Grade road, then hike 1 mile by China Grade road to intersection with Skyline to the Sea trail where we'll have lunch break. Return by Skyline to the Sea trail . It is primary out and back hike.
Our pace: 2.5 -2.8 per mile. Hike's length and elevation gain is based on AllTrails route estimate. Real one can be longer 1-2 miles.
It is good to have >2.5L water, sturdy hiking shoes , layers clothes , and lunch food.
It is not good idea to join the hike if you don't plan to complete full route.
