# We meet at Macedo Ranch Staging area. It is large parking but carpool as usual is recommended.
Rock City is special area of Mount Diablo park with scenic rocks and fantastic views. I hope to see a lot of wildflower along all our route.
Our route: Wall Point rd -> Dusty rd -> Stage rd -> Barbecue Terrace rd ( our main 1.5 miles uphill) -> Summit tr ( opposite way to Summit...) -> Staircase tr -> Trail through time -> CCC tr to Sentinel rock ( our lunch spot) -> Trail through time -> Rock City rd -> West Fossil Ridge rd -> Deer tr -> Dan Cook Summit tr -> Summit tr -> Wall Point rd 1.5 miles back to cars ( in the middle Wall Point is view point with name "Wall Point" where we must enjoy super view)
Our pace: 2.5 -2.8 per mile. Hike's length and elevation gain is based on AllTrails route estimate. Real one can be longer 1-2 miles .
It is good to have >2.0L water, sturdy hiking shoes , layers clothes ,rain gear, and lunch food.
It is not good idea to join the hike if you don't plan to complete full route.
