You first need to pay for parking at ( 37.970568, -122.604713 ), collect the parking stub, and then drive further for 0.9 miles at the start point. The plan is to start along Sunnyside Trail, then Pine Pt Tr, visit Pilot Knob (perhaps the high point of the hike), come back to Lake Lagunitas, and then wind up along Shadyside Trail which is between Lake Bon Tempe and Alpine Lake.
