Kayak Buffalo River
Details
Let's paddle the TN Buffalo River. Saturday, July 19, 2025. We will use crazy horse outfitters. Bring your own kayak or rent a kayak. Plan to hit the river at 9 am for an 8 mile paddle. Pack a lunch for the river. Bring water soakers and coolers. Camp out at Crazy Horse Friday night or come for the day.
We have about 7 coming so far. The event is cross posted so all of the rsvps are not here.
For the July 18/19, 2025 TN BUFFALO campout and kayak we will be using crazy horse outfitter and campground. We will camp in the north campground. These are electric/water/sewer sites so you can bringna fan or your RV. The sites are first come first get. We will be camping Friday and Saturday night. Saturday night day tippers and campers, we will pot luck sides so bring your own protein.
You can make this a day trip from Memphis, Jackson or Nashville.
You DON'T have to reserve a kayak you can show up and rent or bring your own. We will shuttle to the put in with the outfitter and paddle down to the campground about 8 miles. We will shuttle out to the out in at 9 am.
Reminders: bring a life jacket and please wear it. Wear sunscreen. You might want a rash guard top, hat, sunglasses and a towel for your legs or light weight long pants. Bring water and food for the paddle! We will make a river lunch stop and swim.
