Thanksgiving weekend event update.....

Please update your rsvp since the plan has been modified.

I held out to make sure the Shelby Forest State Park campground wouldn't open in time for this weekend. Despite our hope, the campground will not open in time. Soooo.... Plan B in in effect.

Shelby Forest State Park, Friday, November 28, 2025

Shelby Forest State Park, Friday morning @ 9:00 am we will hike with the ranger on the woodland trail 3.5 miles for the day after Thanksgiving hike (meet at the woodland trailhead). Free registration for the ranger hike.

T.O. Fuller State Park, Friday night at 6 pm, we will meetup at Kat Ayers site at T.O. Fuller State Park in Memphis site #35 for snacks, smores and campfire. Bring campfire wood and a chair.

Shelby Forest State Park Saturday morning we will hike the Pioneer Springs Trail 4 miles (meet at the nature center). We will go have lunch close by after the hike. There are a few options: the general store or Olympic in Millington or other options in Millington.
