Join us for a look into the eight limbs of classical Hatha yoga and what they tell us about how the ancients understood and related to the human body and the human experience.

Yoga is more than a physical practice-- the physical aspect of the discipline is one facet of the path in its totality, and all of the "limbs" have profound implications for how one's relationship with their earthly vessel. Regardless of which style or teaching lineage of yoga one practices, the philosophy informing one's ongoing mastery of the interface between the physical, subtle, and spiritual bodies (koscas) stems from this wisdom.

In this talk, Jahnavi will map the eight limbs of classical yoga (Ashtanga) and indicate their significance to the interrelation of the five koscas (sheaths, or layers of the body as conceived of in the human experience).
