Parole a Pup (back by popular demand)

So... FoDACC reached out (after months of communication) to cancel at the last minute (less than 24 hrs before - like 2 hours ago), I am very very bummed 😭.. We all made space in our weekend to do this so I will still go to Riverwalk Park at 10 am, just in case anyone still wants to meetup (like this post to RSVP, personal dogs welcome).
Please think about attending future events, this is our only canceled event yet and it is unfortunately (possibly related to being) our biggest one yet 🧗. Really really sorry to disappoint anyone but I will have to process this before thinking about trying again. There are t-shirts available (to wear or burn in effigy) and I will also have notecards to write nasty-grams to DACC on, which we can then burn and toss into the river 🔥 (that's called .

I want to start by sincerely thanking you for the enthusiasm and effort you have put into planning the upcoming Parole A Pup event. The time, creativity, and coordination you’ve invested—everything from coordinating participants to creating badges and shirts for the event—has been inspiring, and we were truly looking forward to welcoming your group.
Unfortunately, I’m reaching out with disappointing news. Due to unexpected challenges that have arisen in recent days, FoDACC is not able to accommodate public outings with our dogs, including group Dogventures, this week. This includes our scheduled event with your group.
I want to assure you this decision was not made lightly. We would love to reschedule once we’re able to resume these activities and will keep you updated as soon as that window opens. We remain incredibly grateful for your commitment and support, and we’re hopeful this won’t be the end of what could be a really meaningful partnership.

🐾 Join Us for a Riverside Dog Walk! 🐕
📅 When: 5/10/2025
⏰ Time: Meet at Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) at 10:00 AM
📍 Where: Riverwalk Park and Detroit Riverfront
Spend your morning giving some love and exercise to the amazing pups 🐶 at Detroit Animal Care and Control! We’ll take them on a scenic walk 🌳 along the riverfront at Riverwalk Park, enjoy some time to visit 🐕‍🦺, and then return the dogs safely to DACC.

### 🐕 Schedule

• 10:00 AM: Meet at DACC (📍 1431 E Ferry St, Detroit, MI 48211) and get paired with a furry friend 🐾.
• 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Walk the dogs 🐕 along Riverwalk Park (1325 Atwater St, Detroit, MI 48207) and the beautiful riverfront 🌊.
• 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Return to DACC 🏡.
• 🍴 Optional Lunch: Join us at Eastern Market Brewing Company (🥤 2515 Riopelle St, Detroit, MI 48207) at 1:30 PM to wrap up the day with great food and company! (Location changed to anticipated crowd size).
