About the composer:

Accustomed to creating with the sign of sharing and freedom, pianist and organist Tiago Sousa brings us his most recent album Sustained Tones vol. 1.

An album released by Sucata Tapes (UK) that brings together 6 compositions of an eminently sonic nature for piano, electric organ, and taped loops. A dense, reverberant sound mass, in continuous movement of slow inspiration and suspended tempo.
Music grounded in stillness, extending into crepuscular harmonies and cyclical melodies.

In the second part of this concert celebrating an April morning, the Portuguese musician is joined by the voice of Marisa da Anunciação to revisit some themes from Coro das Vontades — a work of his authorship that reflects today’s political concerns; as well as some songs from the repertoire of intervention.
