Beginner Friendly Fishing Trip - Lake Pueblo
Details
Join us for a morning of trout fishing at Lake Pueblo! Whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced, this trip is meant to be a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and (hopefully) catch a few fish. If you’re new, people will be happy to help you get set up and answer questions!
Date: Saturday, April 4
Meet Time: 8:30 AM
Fishing Time: Approximately 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
We’ll rendezvous at the back of Row 2 at the Walmart parking lot in Pueblo West and wait for arrivals until 8:40 before heading out. From there, everyone will follow me to the fishing area so that everyone gets to the right place.
What to Bring
• Fishing rod and tackle
• Bait or lures
• Water, snacks, and weather appropriate clothing
• A chair if you prefer to sit while fishing
- If you are a complete beginner, do your own research on bait, but I suggest a few circle hooks, a bullet sinker, a barrel swivel, a container of Berkeley’s PowerBate, a net and a rod (medium to light power).
Important Reminders
• Colorado fishing licenses renew annually on April 1, so make sure your license is current and valid for April.
• Vehicles entering Lake Pueblo must have a Colorado State Parks pass, so make sure your vehicle is covered.
I hope to see you there!
