GVSU Downtown Campus - Seidman Center (50 Front Ave. SW)
Second Floor - Rooms 2005 (board games), 2001 & 2020 (BoTC)

A Note on Parking: With the opening of the Acrisure Amphitheater and the Amway Stadium, Grand Valley is tightening up their downtown campus parking policy. In the past we have always been able to park in the Mt. Vernon lot (right in from of the Seidman Center) or the Watson lot (just south of that across Watson St.) for free on Saturdays, but now they are requiring permits. We are still able to use those parking lots for free, but you’ll need to actually take a ticket and have me give you a parking coupon for it. I should have permits for around 30 vehicles for Saturday’s All-Day, so here’s how we’ll handle it:

If you arrive early in the day, park in the Mt. Vernon lot as usual and take a ticket to get the bar to raise so you can enter the lot. When you come in, I’ll have a list in Room 2005 for you to sign up on to take a parking validation coupon. The list is just to get a sense of total vehicle numbers, so I won’t be requesting any additional information from you: just whether you plan to come regularly over the summer and how many vehicles you need to park. The coupon should allow you to scan out for free when you leave.

If you arrive later in the day, check the Discord for the event as I will post there if it looks like we’re going to run out of passes. If we do, you will need to park in the Watson lot instead, since it is still unregulated. However, even if you park in the Watson lot, or if you have a GVSU parking pass you are using instead of a coupon, please still sign up on the sheet to track the number of vehicles. The Watson lot will start being regulated the same way starting in the early summer, so that will no longer be an option moving forward.

Hope that’s all clear, and please let me know if you have any questions. And please share this information with anyone who might not get this message.
