Being Your Own CTO Workshop Reminder; Other Announcements

From: Nate H.
Sent on: Monday, April 1, 2013 2:10 PM

This is a reminder that we have a workshop this coming Wednesday called Being Your Own CTO. We will be talking about the fundamentals of managing web development projects and how to communicate your vision to developers and technologists effectively. This is going to be a great workshop, so we're looking forward to seeing you there.

This workshop is $5 in advance, $10 at the door. If you have not paid already, please pay before the end of the workday tomorrow to reserve your spot. If you have changed your mind about attending, please change your RSVP as seating is limited and there are people on the wait list.

If this topic interests you, there is an interesting event coming up that we're partnering on called TechSpeak for Entrepreneurs. It's the "advanced" version of the Being Your Own CTO event, and will be held May 4th & 5th. The pricing is currently $509.15 for the two-day event, and I'm sure it's going to be very informative. Goodnik members get a 15% discount though, which is a significant cost savings. I recommend this event for anyone who is looking to start a technology project in the next year who doesn't know their SaaS from their executables.

Finally, we'll be kicking off a speaker series next week. This is going to be a more casual kind of event - an informal presentation by a notable entrepreneur followed by some informal networking and cocktails. We hope to host these monthly, so if you know a speaker that you'd like to invite, let me know. For the kickoff event, we'll be hosting Patrick O'Neill of YouGiveGoods. RSVP at

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a note.
