Google Analytics for UX Professionals

Details

With access to site usage data through platforms like Google Analytics now ubiquitous, using analytical insights to drive UX has become table stakes for designers. This should be easy, right? Even if you are savvy with data, there is a good chance there are hidden insights not obvious to someone who doesn't spend all day in the interface.

This session will cut through the GA interface clutter and help designers bring some real data to their "data informed" design process, and enable analysts to better help designers they work with.

Who should join:

• UX designers who want a leg-up on their craft

• Analysts who work with UX designers

• Anyone interesting in the digital crossroads of data and design

Agenda:

• Food, drink (adult and soft) and networking (5:30 - 6)

• Case study (6 - 6:30): ISITE (http://www.isitedesign.com/) staffers Ryan Summers (Optimization Testing Lead) and Melissa Vander Wilt (Senior UX Designer) will discuss a case study that outlines real-world interactions of analytics data and UX design.

• Workshop (6:30 - 7): ISITE (http://www.isitedesign.com/)staffer Lars von Sneidern (https://twitter.com/larsvons) (Customer Analytics Lead) will walk you through some of the most useful applications of Google Analytics data for UX design. Bring your laptop if you want to follow along!
