Join us for the ‘Build with AI’ workshop series and dive into AI development!

This hands-on workshop is great for beginners or those looking to enhance their AI skills in a relaxed setting.

We’ll explore how AI works in real life, starting with the basics and advancing as we go.

Be part of this community-driven initiative and shape the experience with your feedback.

Key Points:

Community-Led: Run by and for the community. Not an official Google Developer Groups certification program.

Learning Together: Expect a few technical glitches—we’re all in this learning journey together!

Focus on Skills: Build your knowledge and have fun. This workshop doesn’t guarantee employment but offers valuable skills!

Grab your spot and start this AI adventure today!

First Lap:
Version Control using AI
Curious about GitHub but don’t know where to start? In this fast-paced, beginner-friendly session, Tanmay Jagtap will break down the essentials of version control and show you how to confidently use GitHub (one of the most popular version control tools) even if you’ve never used it before.
You’ll learn:

What version control is and why it matters

How GitHub helps you manage and collaborate on projects

The basic workflow (repositories, commits, branches, and pull requests)

How to use AI tools to guide you when you’re stuck or unsure

Whether you’re a student, developer, or just getting started with tech, this session will give you the clarity and confidence to begin your GitHub journey and show you how AI can be your coding companion along the way.

LLMs: Playing Safe and Building Better
Ever wondered if an AI can be "tricked" or if the data you send it stays private? In the second half of our workshop, Federico Haustein is shifting gears from building to protecting.

We’ll explore the fascinating (and sometimes scary!) world of AI security and ethics. Don't worry—you don’t need to be a cybersecurity expert to join! We’re going to look at the "rules of the road" for using AI responsibly and how to spot common pitfalls.

What we’ll cover together:

The "Oops" Moments: Understanding common AI risks like prompt injection (when AI ignores your instructions) and data leaks (Nithin Ravi has provided us a deeper talk that we can skim).

The Human Touch: Why "Responsible AI" isn't just a buzzword, but a way to make sure our projects are fair and helpful for everyone.

Safety Gear: Practical tips and tools to keep your AI-powered apps secure.

Interactive "Red Teaming": We’ll try a few light-hearted exercises to see if we can get an AI to "break" its own rules!

Whether you're curious about the ethics of tech or want to make sure your next big idea is built on a solid foundation, come hang out with us. Let's make AI that isn't just smart, but safe too!
