Jamboard: The Future of Collaboration at Google and the Enterprise

Details
Registration on meetup.com for this event will open on Wednesday, April 5 at 12:00 p.m. EST.
Googlers spend millions of hours every year in meetings. Google CorpEng seeks to "empower Googlers with world-leading technology", and even a small improvement to the productivity of meetings results in big wins. When a team at G Suite first proposed Jamboard (https://gsuite.google.com/jamboard/), a new collaborative digital whiteboard, there was an obvious overlap of the value this could bring to Google as well as the rest of the world's enterprises. We'll share the Jamboard story, the problems it solves, and how CorpEng helped develop, test, innovate, and incubate the future of collaboration with the Jamboard (https://gsuite.google.com/jamboard/) team.
Jamboard Team Presenters:
TJ Varghese
TJ is a Senior Product Manager and also the co-founder of Jamboard. Started as a hackathon project in 2013, Jamboard evolved into a 20 percent project. Prior to Jamboard, he was product manager for Google Drive & Docs on Mobile. Before joining Google, TJ ran product management at a mobile app company called Quickoffice. TJ is passionate about product design and development.
Lucy Bourne
Lucy is the Jamboard Program Manager and oversees the Early Adopter Program and planning for the upcoming general availability of Jamboard. She has a background in customer experience and analytics and is passionate about incorporating end user feedback into the product development lifecycle. As a native Australian, she loves to travel and is a keen scuba diver.
Nick Miceli
Nick is the TL on the CorpEng side of Jamboard, and has seen the project grow from its infancy to launch. Before Jamboard, his Google career started working on API client libraries. A lifetime New Yorker, Nick teaches the occasional class at NYU SPS, is passionate about theater, music, and gaming, and is definitely not an extraterrestrial being, he swears.
Eva Bacon
Eva is the Program Manager for Jamboard Deployments at Google. Before joining CorpEng, she worked on Google Maps. In her previous career she was an international literary scout and is still an avid reader and occasional translator. She grew up in Germany, where she attended the Ludwig Maximilian’s University in Munich and received a Master’s Degree in Literature and Intercultural Communication.
