Veterans Day Hike

Goombay Veterans Day Hike-Turkey Run Park, VA

"Sometimes you just need a day off for yourself to hike a great trail"

Tuesday, Nov. 11th | 10am - 12pm

This is an Intermediate Level hike but novice hikers won't have a problem hiking this trail. The trail, marked by blue blazes, features fun rock-scrambles and spectacular views. The terrain is both flat and hilly with several creek crossing. This trail is a little over 3 miles.

Turkey Run Park | Turkey Run Loop Rd. McLean, VA, 22101

• We will meet in the first parking lot. Make sure you Google or WAZE, Turkey Run and Potomac Heritage Trail for directions to the trailhead.

HIKE AGENDA:
9:30am: Hikers meet in the parking lot
10:00am: Hikers assemble and prepare for hike
10:15am: Hike begins
12:00pm: Hike ends

Trekking Poles (optional)
Sturdy hiking boots or trail sneakers

Weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers)

Wipes/Toilet Paper (optional)
Hand Warmers (optional)
Cell phone with back up battery
