Moonlight Evening Hike on the Billy Goat Trail

Experience the beauty of nature in a whole new light as we head out on an unforgettable evening adventure to the Billy Goat Trail Beach. We'll hike to the beach just before nightfall, where you'll have time to relax, unwind, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere beneath the glow of the full moon. Bring a small chair or blanket if you'd like to sit by the water and enjoy the moment.
After spending time at the beach, we'll make our way back along the historic C&O Canal Towpath under the moonlight. Hiking at night offers a unique perspective of the outdoors, with the sounds of nature and the moon reflecting off the Potomac River creating an unforgettable experience.

* We will meet at the Great Falls Snack Bar next to the parking lot near the entrance. The park charges a $20 parking fee collected when you enter the park. They do not except cash.

HIKE AGENDA:
6:30pm: Hikers arrive and meet by the Great Falls Snack Bar
6:50pm: Hikers assemble and prepare for hike
7:00pm: Hike begins

8:15pm: Arrive at the beach, set up your chair and relax
9:00pm-Hike back to the Snack Bar
9:30pm: Hike ends
