What we’re about
Welcome to our international group of art courses in Gothenburg! We are a community of young and curious individuals who are passionate about exploring new artistic techniques and forms of personal expression.
Our courses are held on a weekly basis, consisting of three hours per session, as well as thematic workshops that span one or two days. The group is led by Chiara Pignotti, who holds a Master and PhD in Art, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. We are dedicated to providing a supportive and inspiring environment for all participants.
Whether you are just starting out, our courses and workshops are designed to help you develop your skills and expand your creative horizons. Join us in exploring the world of illustration, art and also jewellery making, and discover new ways to express yourself through your work.
We welcome anyone who is interested in joining our community.

Watercolour Illustration Course
Lerverk Shop & Gallery, Postgatan 8A, Göteborg, SELearn to use watercolours and additional techniques for your illustrations.
Everyone is welcome to join our watercolour illustration group that includes all levels.
You will initially be introduced to the use of watercolour with exercises in order to improve different skills. When you feel ready you can start drawing and painting your own illustrations under the teacher’s guidance and advice. You can experiment with different styles, techniques and materials.
The watercolour illustration course takes place every Sundays.
Join our friendly art lovers group and spend your time illustrating together with chats, tea and biscuits.
Content:
- Exercises: Based on your personal level I will suggest different exercises to improve your drawing and painting skills.
- Theory of colours with practical exercises that will help you to create your own colour palette.
- We will choose a picture to reproduce as an illustration, learning about perspective, anatomy and composition.
Teacher: I am Chiara Pignotti, an Italian artist and jewellery maker based in Gothenburg. I have a PhD in Art, production and Research at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
In addition to my artistic commitments, I also work as an art teacher conducting courses and workshops at Lerverk Gallery, Studiefrämjandet, Folkuniversitetet and online with Nirmal Art Academy.

You can easily reach it with the many trams and buses that stop at Brunnsparken. From the central station it is a 10 minute walk.
Requirements:
No previous knowledge required.
Materials:
Materials are included for the first day.
After your first class you will receive a more detailed list of basic materials I suggest you to buy.
Cost:
450 SEK one day materials included or 4 meetings package at 1300kr, that can be used within 3 months. Fika included.
