Watercolour on Stonepaper. One-day Workshop.

Stone paper is an environmentally friendly and sustainably paper produced from stone powder. The different properties of the paper make it possible to create awesome effects with watercolour painting.
The workshop is held in English.

Content
With a strong, glossy and completely water-resistant paper, you get the opportunity to experiment and find new ways to use watercolour paints.
The technique you learn here makes it possible to create very graphic illustrations, based on lines and areas of color. We will start with free experimentation, where you really get to play with water and color on your stone paper.
To have a more defined and detailed work we will also learn how to use watercolour markers and ink pens. Stone Papers are also very suitable for prints. We can try and see how linoleum cuts and monotypes turn out on them. We will also try some texture tricks that can only be achieved thanks to the characteristics of this material.

Prior knowledge
The course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced artists who want to learn this new technique.

Location: Lerverk Gallery, Postgatan 8.
Leverk Gallery is in the city centre, in the fantastic courtyard of Kronhuset.
You can easily reach it with the many trams and buses that stop at Brunnsparken. From the central station it is a 10 minute walk.
