Back to Basics: Sass and Compass

Details

Just in time for fall, one last summer spritzer. This month's Meetup takes things back to core sass feature set.

Jeff Escalante is going to talk about using sass to create intelligent and flexible UI elements

Claudina Sarahe is going to cover the basic sass feature through Compass and how to leverage its collection of recipes (mixins) to rapidly build out sites.

This meetup is geared to all Sass levels; newcomers encouraged to attend. Come brush up Tuesday, August 28th at 7PM so that this fall we are all prepared to recreate more Adobe Photoshop blend modes in sass.

Jeff (@jescalan) is a hybrid developer who slings code at Carrot Creative in Brooklyn. He has a extensive background in both design and programming, which makes him really excited about the intersection between the two - front-end development. He would love to talk with you about css, coffeescript, fluffy animals, and/or ruby. Outside of work Jeff has been widely recognized for his expertise in trolling.
