Mt Angel Country Roads

Details

Mt Angel is known for its Monastery, Oktoberfest, and Sausage. It is also a wonderful country hamlet and place to ride. Afterwards we'll partake of brauts at the Mt. Angel Sausage Company.

Start Time – Wheels rolling at 11 am. Please be on time. If you're running a few minutes late, give me a call (no guarantees I'll get the call) and be prepared with a song and tap shoes to tap dance your way back into the hearts of your fellow riders.

Attitude: Slow and social. We'll do 14mph ish on the flats. We'll regroup at all corners.

Ride leader contact information – Paul Tidball. Cell is 503-753-7000 or email ptidball@hotmail.com

Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42978138 . A 22 mile flattish route on mostly quiet country roads. We'll also spend a short time on busier roads with the attendant commercial truck and automobile traffic. There is a VERY short gravel segment. A bypass is available, but on a busy road. Please review the route carefully, and if you're not comfortable with the route or the conditions do not sign up for this ride. Please print out the route or download to your favorite electronic navigation aid.

Mandatory for all riders.
Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us well.
All riders must have their rides in good working order and must bring a flat kit, spam, & spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment you may be asked to sit the ride out. Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride. We will try to help!
All riders must be able to change a flat should they have one or have a way to get picked up (AAA, a friend, spam-wagon…). There is often but not always someone on the ride who knows how to help you change your tire so plan accordingly.

Note: Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following. Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.
Note: RSVP’s cannot include a +1 or Guest. If you choose to bring a friend or family member, they themselves must sign up as a member of Go the Distance.

No ear buds, please.
