Änggårdsbergen Hike

Welcome to the very first event for Gothenburg Hikers! I'm excited to kick off our group with a classic and beautiful Gothenburg hike.
We'll do a non-technical, beginner-friendly loop trail of about 8.5 km around Änggårdsbergen, the nature reserve adjacent to Botaniska. The trail has mild elevation changes and is in excellent condition. On this hike, you will see lovely forests, small lakes and wetlands, and some of the best views of the city on offer.
The pace will be relaxed, with plenty of time to take photos and chat. The goal is to enjoy the nature and the company, not to rush to the finish line!
Somewhere around the halfway point, we'll find a nice spot to take a break. Feel free to bring a thermos with coffee/tea and a snack (a classic fika!) to enjoy.

We will meet at the main entrance to Botaniska before beginning our hike.
Be sure to bring:
- Sturdy hiking shoes or boots
- Outdoor/athletic clothing (check the weather!)
- Essential medications (inhaler, EpiPen, etc)
- Plenty of water (at least 1L / person)
- A snack/fika for our break
