Sun and Moon

Details
For this event we will be watching the sunset and the subsequent moonrise in close proximity to each other. I recently bought an Explore Scientific solar filter for my telescope, so we will be able to use the telescope to safely view the Sun (and of course, also the Moon).
There will be a gap of about one hour between the sunset and moonrise, so we will have a fika while we wait. Be sure to bring something to eat and drink. It's also recommended to bring binoculars for viewing the Moon and solar glasses for viewing the Sun. I recommend the Celestron Nature DX 8x42 binocular and Baader Solar Viewer glasses.
To help prevent people from crashing the event, I will DM you the exact location where we will meet and a link to the WhatsApp group when you get added to the attending list.
What to bring:
- Plenty of water, soda, or other non-alcoholic beverages
- Something to snack on for our fika
- Blankets and warm clothes
- Something to sit on (if desired)
- Binoculars (if you have them)
- Solar glasses (if you have them)
As always, keep in mind that stargazing is very dependent on the weather, so we may need to cancel or reschedule on short notice if conditions aren't right for viewing. I will keep an eye on the forecast and give the go or no go ~24 hours before the event.
I hope to see all of you there! Happy stargazing :)
