Last week, House Resolution 1102 “Expressing support for digital currencies and blockchain technology” was introduced into the United States Congress. The resolution was co-sponsored by both Republican and Democratic Party representatives, showing that improving government services through the use of emerging technology is truly a bi-partisan issue. While several states have already passed legislation promoting the use of blockchain technology, H.R. 1102 marks a significant milestone towards governments’ further adoption of blockchain technology at the Federal level.

Join us on the evening of October 15 as we take a deep dive into the various pro-blockchain legislation passed by our neighbours to the South, the implications on local economies, and what lessons we here in Canada can learn from those government initiatives.
