Writing Workshop Gowanus

Come if you love to read or write!

We’ll start the evening with a few minutes of greetings and introductions, then move into an MFA-style writing workshop — a collaborative discussion where a few participants share short pieces (fiction or nonfiction only, please — no poetry this time).

Everyone reads work during the session, and we offer thoughtful, constructive feedback focused on craft, clarity, and storytelling. Please come with phone or laptop to read other’s work via Google drive.

If you’d like to workshop a piece - please have it ready to go in Google Drive. Around 1300 words or less.

Schedule:
• Arrivals, time to grab beer/drink and introductions
• Workshop discussion (2–3 writers’ pieces)
• Wrap-Up and next steps (hopefully see who wants to submit next meeting)

Bring your curiosity, kindness, and a readiness to discuss each other’s writing.
