Spring into a Healthy Hike at Superstition Mountain

Details
This hike in the Tonto National Forest is FAMILY-FRIENDLY with various trail length options from the Lost Dutchman State Park day-use area ($7 Per vehicle)--the intention is for an easy to medium casual hike. The Treasure Loop Trail is 2.4 Miles is rated as moderate due to a 500 ft rise in elevation, but the trail is well-maintained and takes anywhere from 45-90 minutes-ish depending on how many photos you take. Perhaps we will see Roy and Derek at lunch after they complete Flat Iron? The wildflowers should be in full bloom with spring coming early...be prepared for lots of people sharing the trail.
Clean restrooms are available in the Day-Use parking area. Bring at least 1 liter of water per person (hydrating the day before is recommended) and sun-protection (sunscreen, long sleeves, hat) and proper shoes for hiking.
Boots on the ground at 9:30!
We can either make it a picnic or BBQ there at Lost Dutchman Day use area or we can go to Dos Gringos Locos Mexican Restaurant in Apache Junction--Please indicate your preference with your RSVP so I can make the appropriate reservation.
Want to carpool from GP or somewhere in Gilbert? Put that in your RSVP too.
Avondale folks--please join us!
