You are cordially invited to make music with friends and friends you haven’t met yet for a community music-making experience. We will be focusing on two popular fun songs: Happy by Pharrell Williams and Golden, the academy award winning song from K-Pop Demon Hunters! We will be teaching the parts and then singing together for fun. Younger singers (tweens and teens) who are interested in participating are most welcome!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
After you register and before the event we'll be sending out recordings and sheet music so that you can familiarize yourself with the songs before we come together. There is no expectation that you will have anything memorized, but we want you to have all the tools to engage as fully as you want to with the songs and so that we can spend our time together in creativity and community.

Whether you're coming to see the power of music in connection, you have something inside of you that you want to express, or you want to support others in connection and expression, as long as you can sustain the attention, you are welcome.

Our meeting place for the event is The Fellowship Hall of Trinity United Methodist Church. It is accessible for all abilities.

THE DAY OF THE EVENT:
After a time of introduction, we'll discover ways to share musical space through vocal play and circle singing led by the fabulous group facilitators of GR Sings!.

You are welcome whether you are an experienced singer who performs with choirs or someone who loves singing along to your favorite song in the shower.

MEDIA CONSENT:
We'll be taking photos and videos during our time together to share and invite others to join us for future GR Sings! events. By registering, you give your consent to be photographed and video recorded.

DONATIONS:
Please consider donating to help in covering costs for materials, rental. A suggested donation of $20 will help considerably with creating a sustainable and repeatable experience.
