Reflection Lake & Barber Falls

Let's start Hiking!!! every Saturday we will hike a new trail in Anchorage and surrounding areas. Each hike will gradually get longer, steeper and more beautiful. We will meet at the Muldoon Carrs at 3:45pm to gather and head out to the Reflection Lake trailhead. Both hikes have small parking areas so it's best we carpool with each other and leave some of our cars there. Reflection Lake is a 1 mile loop surrounding a lake that reflects the surrounding mountains right on the lake. Its beautiful but also quick so we have time to stop on our way home to visit Barber Falls in Eagle River. Barber Falls is another hike under 1 mile but its broken up to see the falls from 2 angles. we will walk to see both views. The top view shows the falls in all its glory and the bottom view puts us right under the falls allowing for wonderful photos and time to just sit under the falls.

both hikes require Hiking boots or shoes you can walk in comfortablely, a light jacket, hiking poles or walking stick, bug spray, and water. These are the basic hiking supplies you will need for many of the hikes I have planned, however, I usually carry many other supplies as hikes get longer or more difficult. I carry all my supplies in a small backpack so it's not a lot of weight. please see the attached link to get an idea on what supplies will be needed and then decide what supplies you wanna carry.

We will pray and worship at every Hike destination. Praising God for the Grace that is freely given to us as we seek out the beauty in the land He created.
