Hike to Csákányospuszta

Let's go hiking on the weekend.

Our destination is the Vértes mountain range. Not famous for its tall peaks, we won't climb high this time, but there will still be nice views, and we'll check out the Vitányvár medieval castle ruins.

🗺️ The Hike
Description here. Full track here. 18 km, 400 m elevation difference, 6 hours, loop track, medium difficulty.

🚍 Transport
Via the S10 train from Budapest-Kelenföld, departing at 8:29. We aim to catch the train back to Budapest at 15:15. Tickets available from the MÁVPlusz app. There's free parking at the train station.

🎒 Bring

• Drinking water. At least 2 L rcommended.
• Lunch
• Hiking shoes
