**Suraj** is a **Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs**, currently working on **Grafana Tempo** and **Grafana Cloud Tracing**. His work focuses on building and scaling distributed tracing systems that power observability at scale.
Prior to this, he was involved in **Grafana Synthetic Monitoring**, contributing to the evolution of Grafana’s observability platform.
Before joining Grafana Labs, Suraj was among the early engineers at **Clarisights**, where he helped design and build the core product and infrastructure. His contributions were central to supporting ingestion and real-time, ad-hoc querying of **high-cardinality time series marketing data**.
With experience across performance-critical systems and observability tools, Suraj continues to contribute to open, scalable monitoring solutions that developers and enterprises rely on.
