Grafana 11 comes with new features and improved functionalities, particularly in the context of Grafana Alerting. In this talk, we’ll explore the details of migrating from legacy alerting to new Grafana Alerting, the now-only alerting system available in Grafana 11.

The objective of this session is to serve as a guiding light through the migration process and the new concepts and features in this new alerting system. The presentation will highlight key differences in concepts and features that may have shifted locations, assuring attendees that while certain aspects may have changed, these transformations enhance the overall alerting experience.
The talk will cover essential aspects such as understanding where familiar functionalities have moved and how to leverage the power of Grafana Alerting effectively using its new features.

2. Karpenter, what did you do? 🇬🇧

You've probably heard that using Karpenter will save you some big bucks. So did we. We jumped into that wagon, set it up, checked every dollar. Costs were going down, things were looking up.

This story takes place six months later. We went back to check on our favourite tool, only to realise it was not the peaceful paradise we remembered. Costs were going right back up, and wasted money trends were looking terrible! Karpenter, what did you do?!

Developed using Flutter, this app transitioned Grafana Oncall from a desktop-centric solution to an indispensable tool for real-time, on-the-go incident response.

This talk will explore the strategic direction for mobile devices as an important channel for incident responding, highlighting how it can reduce mean time to respond while at the same time making sure that the on-call duty becomes less stressful for engineers. By examining the challenges overcome during its development and the positive feedback loop with users, we'll illustrate the app's significant impact on the product and its users.
