The talk will focus on how slack thinks in causal graphs and leverages tracing solutions to empower system reliability.

Suman is a Sr. Staff software engineer at Slack, architecting observability stacks at hyper scale. He has built and operated peta-byte scale systems in all 3 pillars of Observability. He has led and advised on FOSS projects such as Zipkin, OpenTracing and PinTrace (End-to-End tracing system @ Pinterest)
## 1110 - 1210 - Our journey into building an Observability platform, by Venkat Vaidyanathan, Razorpay
This talk is shaped around Razorpay's journey of moving from paid APM tools to open source observability platforms. How they focused on their path, success and failure stories.
More specifically, when does it make sense to build vs buy, what are the challenges in building home grown solutions and leveraging and building upon some existing stuff. Alongside, also some interesting contribution ideas to the Open Telemetry Collector, its limitations, Scaling Issues amongst others.
