⚾️ Streaming MLB Data with Confluent Cloud, Flink, and Grafana ⚾️
Build and monitor a real-time data pipeline using Confluent Cloud's Kafka and Apache Flink, integrated with Grafana for visualization and alerting. We cover Confluent observability fundamentals via the Grafana integration, including metrics for Kafka clusters, connectors, ksqlDB, and Flink compute pools. Then, a hands-on demo: Fetch live MLB scores from MySportsFeeds API, stream to a Kafka topic, process aggregations with Flink or ksqlDB, sink to PostgreSQL, and visualize in Grafana with score trends, game tables, and pipeline monitoring (throughput, lag alerts). Attendees get practical steps, code samples, and setup guides for streaming solutions.
Who Should Join?
Come if you have interest in observability, Grafana, dashboards, or baseball! No previous knowledge required.
