In modern distributed systems, traditional monitoring is no longer enough. To truly understand what’s happening in production, we need observability: the ability to explore, correlate, and explain system behavior using metrics, logs, and traces.
In this talk, we’ll dive into the core principles of observability and how they empower engineers to detect, investigate, and resolve incidents faster. Through a live demo, we’ll explore how to build a lightweight and cost-effective logging stack using Grafana, Loki, and Alloy, entirely self-hosted and open source.
