🔈🔈🔈Our first Grafana and Friends Athens Meetup is a reality! 🔈🔈🔈

We are a fresh group in town and we love to exchange knowledge with all of our Grafana enthusiasts 🥰🥰.

In this first onsite event we welcome GWI that will host the event in their premises. The leading audience targeting company for the global marketing industry, we show you how consumers think. We’ve been delivering game-changing insights to all the agencies, media organisations and brands you know and love since 2009.

Few words for our speakers!
Dimitrios Sotirakis is a Senior Software Engineer with background in Backend, DevOps, Release and Platform Engineering. Specialized in CI/CD architecture, he has spent most of his career tackling the challenges of delivering software with quality. Currently he's a member of a Platform team, focused on improving CI/CD observability and developer's experience in general. Lately, he is being involved with the OpenTelemetry foundation.

Paschalis Tsilias is a Software Engineer with experience in multiple environments; from academic research projects in neutrino cosmology, to supply chain optimization in a startup and building growth tools for the ride-hailing industry. He enjoys motorsports and brewing beer; currently he's busy taking care of a puppy determined to bite through every piece of furniture in his house. He works for Grafana Labs, where he's building performant, programmable, vendor-neutral observability pipelines.

We'll take a quick look at the OpenTelemetry landscape and then delve deeper into the data collection layer. We're going to learn about Grafana Alloy, a distribution of the OpenTelemetry Collector, and how it can help bring infrastructure and application observability closer together.
