12:00 PM: OTel me more! A practical guide for adopting Open Telemetry by Prem Saraswat

The talk would start by quickly setting up some historical context, and explaining the need for Open Telemetry. Then the talk would cover different pieces and architecture of observability pipelines, and where OTel fits. The talk would further discuss some opinionated approaches on adopting Open Telemetry, and the value an organisation can derive from using OTel effectively. By the end, the attendees should have enough context, and a good mental model of OTel ecosystem, to decide which tooling fits best as a solution to their observability needs.
