## About the talks

💥 From Novelty to Necessity: Building AI for Real Human Needs
🚀 Valerie Vegera, Senior Researcher at Grammarly, invites you to discover how AI is evolving from a novel curiosity to an indispensable partner in people's daily workflows. In this session, we’ll explore the blueprint for designing AI experiences that move beyond the hype, grounding them in real human needs and integrating seamlessly into the ways people work. Learn practical strategies for creating AI experiences that are not just "exciting," but truly necessary.

💥 Using AI for qualitative research: My experience, pros, cons, and lessons learned
🚀 In this talk, Sonal Malhotra, User Research Lead at Klarna, will be sharing her journey of using AI in qualitative user research:
What’s worked, what hasn’t, and where I believe the real value lies.

As someone who has spent years manually uncovering user insights, I was initially both excited and skeptical about the promises of AI. Now, having used some of the tools, I have seen how they can speed up analysis, surface themes, and free up time for more strategic thinking.

However, AI isn’t a magic fix. I will also talk about the challenges I’ve faced - from losing nuance to the risk of over-relying on automation in a space that’s inherently human and contextual.

💥 Who will be interested: UX researchers, Product/UX designers, Product managers, Marketing professionals
