1- Introduction:

We are a club for international environmentally minded, exsiting and new comming friends, who wants to explore and learn about all! 🙂💫

We min go 5 people and max 9 people, not too few to not have a group feeling and not too many as to not all being able to meet :-)

We are not a hiking group, but an exploration group, that go and visit mostly remote and off track interesting locations that has natural, environmental or cultural importance while also teaching us about the history of the land!

And for that, yes, we have to hike through the varied and wild nature of our amazing island!

We stay together as a group! So that we can alle experience and learn together!

I am Erik a danish Architect running a Nature restoration project here on the island! 💫🙂

On our events I share with you through casual conversation the knowledge that I have gathered about the places we visit and its Ancient Culture, Nature & Enviromental History! 💫👍

Our events are all about having a good time, while learning about the island in general, while making new friends! 🙂💫

If the forecasted weather for our destination goes bad, we always try to find a new destination with a better forcasted weather if possible :-)

2 - Description of Expedition:
We Explore the unknown and wild hinterland of San Augustin a strange place! :-)

Just 50 years ago this was a ferile community with the growing of all sorts of farmiming crops! but mismanagement of water resources put a stop to this era!

We will see what is left of this great past period!

its 3 to 4 hours hiking, walking, learning and exploring our Island 🙂

Bring your own lunch, snack and min 1,5 l of water Sun cream or hat or both your things for swimming and just in case a pulover and a windbreaker!

After the hiking/walking part of the expedition we will go for more inspired philosophical talk, wine and tapas at a local restaurant :-D

3 - Facts and conditions for joining :-)
As we always go on and off track exploring you need be fit and agile :-)

Have good health and not suffer from afflictions like fear or other issues that can prove problematic being out at times off track in the wild!

We are from all over the world we use English as common foreign language so you must be able to communicate well in english!

You have to have a resent recognizable profile photo on this meetup group so that we all can see who is who! 🙂👍

Participation is 10 Euro + about 10Euro for transport, we go by public bus!

"Participating tribute" Goes to help fund our work at the "Land Restoration Project - Gran Canaria - Regreening our Island" and is to be seen as a gift to continue this work and to make these events for us all to learn and enjoy!

On our expeditions we aim to create awareness about the current state of the natur and the enviroment here on the canary islands

And on our finca project we research how to the fastest regrow desertified and abandoned farmland

Important these meetups are a private grouping of new and coming friends that go out exploring together!

This means that it is in any legal sense just like you being out with your friends or by yourself!

You are at your own risk at all times!

This Meetup is for Private people meeting each other on a friends basis!
