February 16, 2025 - Aliso Canyon + Horse Trail Hike - Valentine's Day Weekend

Details

We will be leading a hike along the Reseda horse trails, starting from Reseda Blvd to Tampa Blvd and back in Granada Hills (San Fernando Valley). The hike covers approximately 5.5 miles and begins at the Aliso Canyon Park parking lot off Rinaldi. It is scheduled for Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and we anticipate it will take about two and a half hours.

Both beginners and experienced hikers are welcome. This is a moderate difficulty hike, rated a 5 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. The trail consists mostly of rolling hills, with a few significant climbs. This event is ideal for those who prefer not to hike alone or want to familiarize themselves with the local trails. All organizers have years of experience in trail walking and running. To ensure safety and avoid overcrowding, we will limit the number of attendees. We hike as a group to ensure no one gets left behind.

Water and snacks will be provided before, during, and after the hike. Since February weather can be cold, please dress appropriately and wear good hiking shoes.

All ages are welcome; however, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. On the day of the hike, my organizers and I will be wearing red shirts in the parking lot near the park benches.

Note: The hike will be canceled in the event of extreme cold, rain, or wind.
