Sept 21, 2025 -Pop up Aliso Canyon Trail Run* THIS IS A TRAIL RUN NOT A HIKE*

Hello trail runners! Join us for a great workout This will be a 5 mile run- NOT A HIKE.
It is intended for runners. We are gearing this toward beginning and moderate trail runners and will maintain a steady pace. We will let the runners catch their breath at several different points. We will leave no one behind. The Hills are optional. Please note that it will be hot. If you cannot handle the heat please think twice about attending

My organizers and I will be leading a TRAIL RUN through Aliso Canyon in Granada Hills (San Fernando Valley). The RUN is approximately 5 miles long starting at the Aliso Canyon Park parking lot off Rinaldi and it will follow the horse trails to Session and back. It will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM. We expect this run to take around 2 hours.

Beginners and experienced trail runners are welcome. This is a good event for someone who does not want to run alone or wants to learn the trails in the surrounding area. There will be a couple good sized hills that we have to climb on this hike. We will be limiting the number of attendees so the organizers and I can safely keep track of the runners and not overcrowd the trail. We will leave no one behind.

Water and snacks will be provided before, during, and after the run. We will keep an eye on the weather for that weekend. If we get an intense heat wave, high winds or rain, we will cancel the hike due to safety concerns.

All ages are welcome, but anyone under 18 must come with a legal guardian. The day of the run my organizers and I will be wearing red shirts in the parking lot near the park benches.

Time: Leave time is 10 A.M. Please try to get there a few minutes early so we can do a quick safety briefing. Should take 2 hrs.

Where to meet: The parking lot in the Aliso Canyon Park.

Distance: About 5 miles out and back.

Difficulty: For beginner and moderate trail runners.

Restrooms and water fountains: Yes (in the parking lot). Please do not leave anything of value in your vehicles. Burglaries have been reported in the area.

Parking: Free

Dangers to watch out for: Rattlesnakes, coyotes, tarantulas, skunks, stinging insects, and uneven ground that can cause falls.
