October 19, 2025 - Mission Point Granada Hills Hike (Advanced Hikers Only)

Details
Lately, we've been experiencing about a 50% no-show rate for our hikes. We kindly ask that if you RSVP, please make every effort to attend—or at the very least, let us know in advance if you can’t make it. Your consideration really helps us keep things running smoothly for the whole group.
HIKE RATING SCALE - (This hike is challenging )
Rating a hike is subjective, meaning the difficulty of a hike will be in direct relation to how often you hike and the type of hike you prefer. Keep in mind that any hike can have the following: un-even hiking surfaces, various obstructions, water crossings or rock hopping.
- Easy: 1-2 miles with easy terrain (flat road) and little elevation gain.
- Moderate: 2-4 miles with moderate terrain and some elevation change.
- Challenging: 4 or more miles or varying terrain.
My organizers and I will be leading a hike to Mission Point, via the Dr. Mario De Campos trail (Neon way)in the Granada Hills area (San Fernando Valley.) This out and back hike is approximately 4.5 miles long. It is a challenging route and is intended for advanced hikers due to the 1,227 foot elevation gain. We do not recommend beginning or unexperienced hikers attending this hike. The first two miles are quite steep. We will be limiting the amount of attendees so my team and I can safely keep track of the hikers and not overcrowd the trail. We will hike as a group and leave no one behind. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. When parking, do not leave any valuables or anything in plain site in your vehicle. Unfortunately, there has been car burglaries in the area.
