Colorado Archaeological Society Monthly Meeting and free lecture

Join us on 5-27-26 for our monthly meeting and lecture series. Meet and greet begins at 6:30 PM, followed by a talk entitled "Hidden Heritage: the Myth of the Vanishing Anasazi.". Learn how the myth originated, the role the National Park Service played in the myth, how Pueblos responded to the myth and how the myth has led to erroneous claims today. Our guest speaker is Joseph Weixelman, PhD. Joseph is a historian of the American West who has extensively researched and published topics relating to the intersection of indigenous people and national parks. Event is free with donations welcomed.
