Update -

Last month saw our biggest turn out yet with 19 folks in person and two sticking with our scrappy on line version. The move to CMU was successful with 5 students and 2 faculty attending. Thanks to Karl and Sherine for their efforts to secure a room and play host. Thanks to Nicolas (student) for meeting folks at the door and helping them get to the amazing room we were provided!

Anthony's talk on Policy as Code was informative and sparked a great deal of interest in a more in depth demo. Derek has agreed to demo Gitlab's capabilities in this area to satisfy the interest in seeing exactly how it works.

Build as Code

Boyd will demonstrate build as code with a Github action that lints (Python Black) and tests (PyTest) a small code base to motivate the notion of the general "build as code" concept. He will explain, from a line manager/director perspective why he expects his teams to function in this way as an expression of the DevOps movement.

Policy as Code

(His words are on the way) Derek will demonstrate the application of Policy as Code as another concept that can be added to a build via Gitlab's offering.
